Biography
Dr. Momodou Mustapha Fanneh obtained a Doctorate degree in Economics at Fordham University, New York, an MBA and MSc. in Economics. He was a Teaching Assistant and Senior Teaching Fellow at Fordham University. Adjunct professor Rutgers, State University of New Jersey and Lehman College, New York.

He is an Associate Professor of Economics and Dean, School of Business and Public Administration, University of The Gambia. He is a Research Associate of the Center for Policy Research and Strategic Studies (CepRass) and a Senior Researcher at the Directorate of Research and Consultancy, the University of the Gambia with more than 20 years of research experience. His main research interests are international trade, development economics, macroeconomics and monetary economics.
He worked as a Senior Transport Planner/Economist at the Department of State for Works, Communications and Information, The Gambia, 1996 – 2000 and was involved in the development of the National Transport Plan, the National Transport Policy, Road Fund and in the formulation of the National Highway Authority of The Gambia.
He has a wealth of expertise in instrument design, data collection and analysis, midterm and end-line evaluation and policy analysis. He did the Impact Evaluation Study of the Community-Driven Development Project (CDDP) funded by the World Bank using Randomized Control Trials (RCT). He has expertise in using STATA and SPSS in doing research work. Team Leader for a Cost and Benefit Analysis and Cost Assessment study commissioned by the World Food Program and The Gambia Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. Lead researcher Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SMSE) Mapping for The Gambia and One Sight Intervention Programme (Consultancy for an Impact Evaluation in The Gambia), WFP Study on National Cost Assessment of School Meals Programme. Consultant for preparation of National Transport Policy of The Gambia and Renewable Energy Feasibility Study for the Gambia. Consultancy on Coastal Adaptation Designs (CAD) – Cost Benefit Analysis study for The Gambia-EU Corporation, Consultancy on Coastal Adaptation Designs (CAD) – Social Economy study, Action Aid Midterm study on Women Socioeconomic Rights in CRR, Gamworks - Financial Analysis of Community-Based Infrastructure and Livelihood Improvement Project (CILIP) Sub-Project on Livelihood Matching Grant Facility, Action Aid Baseline Study on the Socio-Economic Rights of Women In CRR, and GBOS Consultancy on Growth Drivers, Poverty and inequality in The Gambia.
